Description
Lythrum - 'Purple Loosestrife' is a hardy herbaceous UK native perennial, often seen as a Wildflower on UK river banks. The plant produces spikes of bright pink flowers on clumped foliage from June through to late summer.
This perennial does well on clay and wet soils, is loved by bees and butterflies and is as happy as a perennial in the garden as it is in the wild. Purple loosestrife sheds all of it’s foliage for the winter, but comes back new each year.
