We're patting ourselves on the back a little and saying what a great year 2018 has been, growing our own vegetables, herbs and chillies. It’s likely it is not entirely down to our expertise and hard work though and just maybe, the weather may have had a lot to do with it! But, gardening is all about dealing with the conditions you have and adapting to them and we've all had to do that this year. Fruits of our labour

June has arrived already and after a very dry May we are already watering everything in our West Yorkshire garden and have watched some amazing growth spurts during the last 6 weeks or so. Our courgettes are all planted out, tomatoes and chillies potted on into final growing positions and beans already arching up their canes. Our new seed varieties Aubergine and Sweet Peppers all look good in the greenhouse, along with our Burpless Cucumber and our new Crystal Ice Cucumber plant (kindly given to us by the green fingered folk at Let’s Grow Preston).
