Description
'The Chatelaine' has showy spikes of densely packed and sweetly scented, soft pink and white flowers. Rising up on sturdy stems, the flowers open up from the base over several weeks hence providing a long blooming period.
Lupins are the stalwarts of the cottage garden and are perfect for adding height and structure to the back of perennial borders or as a feature in a large patio container.
Easy to grow and undemanding they put on quite a show with the minimum of fuss as long as they have enough moisture when actively growing.
The Lupin Russell hybrids were bred for their long flowering period and their strong and bright colours.
When to sow | February to June, or September to October. |
Where to sow | Soak seed overnight before sowing. |
